Most people don’t have the time or the patience to use a lash curler and mascara, let alone apply fake eyelashes everyday.  So it’s not surprising that lash extensions are one of the hottest beauty services around and if you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out! With just one visit, you can have long, thick lashes that will draw attention to your eyes and enhance your natural beauty. If you’re one of those people who are waiting to book an eyelash extension service because you still have questions about them, we’re here to help. Let the experts at The Facial Bar in Algonquin share some of our most frequently asked questions. Don’t see your question listed here? Give us a call and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have!

How Do I Know If They’ll Look Good on My Eyes?

Lash extensions look good on every eye type as there are different lengths, curl sizes, and styles of lash extensions. Your lash artist will help you choose the right ones based on the look you want. Are you looking for a more natural look? If so, we offer a Classic Set of eyelash extensions. Or is bold and dramatic more your style? If so, we offer a Mix of Classic and Volume eyelash extensions or a Full Volume Set of eyelash extensions. Whichever you choose, we can help you create the perfect look.

How Long Do Lash Extensions Last?

Lash extensions last through a full growth cycle of natural eyelashes, typically six to eight weeks. That said, because each person’s lash growth is variable, we recommend lash maintenance every two to three weeks to maintain a full look.

How Do I Wash My Face with Lash Extensions?

For the first day it’s important to give the lash adhesive time to cure. This means you shouldn’t get them wet at all. Refrain from showering, working out, tanning, swimming, and even sweating excessively. Once you give your lashes the time they need, you can wash as you normally would, as long as you take special care with washing your eyes. Only use cleansers specifically formulated for lash extensions such as our Bella Lash Detox, you can ask our lash artists about purchasing this aftercare product. Your extensions will last much longer if you handle them with care and avoid rubbing or tugging at your eyes.

Can I brush my lash extensions?

Lashes can get tangled when you’re sleeping or after taking a shower, so we recommend that you gently brush your lashes with a clean spoolie brush when you wake up, after you shower, and at the end of the day. To prevent unnecessary tangling, try to sleep on your back so your lash extensions do not rub on your pillow while you are sleeping.
